- We are the last in the "queue". Appointment at 3:15pm and normally the clinic is closed at 2pm. There's renovation at the life Lobby A when we come up. We are thinking can go through from another level but can't. Have to go to Lobby C and take another direction. But at least we pass by some wards and see someone's baby. Keke...
- Dr Wong back from her leave! So relief now. Can start walking. Keke...
- Baby's head is moving abit lower now but still not low enough to give birth.
- His face is now facing away from us.
- His right leg is now on my right and left leg on my left, means his legs are wide open. Dr Wong says like a frog position.
- My weight has gained up to 72.3kg, increase of 2kg over the past 2 weeks. Result is normal for blood pressure and urine test. Baby's weight is now 2.7kg. Dr Wong mentions he will be around 2.9kg when birth.
- Baby's heart beat normal. The umbilical cord is far away from his neck. The water in the bag is still enough for him to move around.
- I ask doctor about the "static" or needle poking pain that I have a few days ago. It's actually baby touching on my nerves. Thus the pain.
- Yesterday my lower abdomen starts to feel pain. Dr Wong mentions that means yesterday baby just starts to move lower and touching my pelvic area.
- She says don't think I will give birth next week. Most probably from 20th June onwards. But we never know, she says. If still no sign of birth by 23rd June, will have to induce birth. She says the water level in the bag will dry up after due date and baby can't move at all. I will not be feeling his movement at all.
- Dr Wong mentions after taking the antibiotics for the vaginal infection, the infection is confirmed gone. But to make sure, they will still inject it during birth. She puts a chop on my admission letter to state about the antibiotics. She says it's common for mummies to have the infection as our vaginal gets warmer. If I do not take the antibiotics and baby is affected by the infection, what will happen is that he will start to cough and fall sick.
- She signals me that contraction pain will affect my whole tummy and not the lower abdomen only. I will take note of it. Cos I am thinking yesterday's pain is the start of some contraction. But it's false alarm. Keke...
- I mention I'm abit scared. She assumes me not to... cos if feel pain, can just ask for epidural. We're not like our mothers' time, where there's no epidural.
Will schedule appointment to next Saturday.
Can start to walk move now. And maybe do some squatting when hubby's around. keke...
Up, down, up, down... left, right, left, right....

I'm still awake now...
It's 2+am now and I am still awake... even though feel tired. Can't really sleep well at night liaoz. Sometimes can sleep throughout, with one time to the loo. But right now, it seems to be a routine to not be able to sleep at night. Past 2 days as well. The best time in which I can sleep is after having breakfast and around 10+am. That seems to be the best time now to sleep. I didn't on any alarm and will naturally get up after 3-4 hours later. But while being awake throughout the night, I usually can take a short nap at 4+am to 7+am. Now seems to be a light sleeper. Can wake up when hubby is awake for work.
Once I even wake up by my own snore. I am going to sleep liaoz and before I begin to snore, I wake up by my own reaction to start snoring. Hubby is amused by this. Me too!! Getting to be a light sleeper like hubby. Keke...
Now baby creates bump on my left tummy whenever he moves his legs (I think it's his legs). When I/Hubby touches it, he moves away. It hurts but I'm getting used to it. Finds it a good sign though. Cos means baby is healthy and active inside, even though he doesn't do any somersault since.
As the day draws nearer, both of us getting restless. Hubby is now trying to settle more things at work and this week he will be coming home slightly later. Have to clear more so he can concentrate more time for me and baby when he is born.
For me, I list out more things to be done in my "to do" list. But since I can't sleep well at night, I get more tired in the day and do not seem to have the energy to move around more. Hubby advises me to go slow. If can't do all, it's ok. I seems to be lying down in bed more often these days, in my bed with the aircon on. Better to remain this way till 11th June, as Dr Wong's on leave from 5th - 11th June. After 12th June, I can start to walk around more. keke...
Now I understand why Fifth Aunt mentions bigger baby easier to take care. I'm still not that sure about the "take care" part. But the later baby comes out, I realise the better. Cos he gains more weight inside my tummy without me needing to feed him actively. Maybe I should continue to lie down till 23rd June. Scarly his birthday same as his second uncle's.
See... I'm so awake that I can type so much here... It's now 2:20am. Maybe will continue watch a new Korean drama which I only just started an hour ago?

Swap Test Fail
Reception at clinic calls me on 3rd June 2010 (Thursday) to inform me that there is infection and I have to go down to collect the medication. So we go down on 5th June 2010 (Saturday) to get the antibiotics. Need to take twice a day and preferably after food as they might cause gastric. I'm prescribed with 10 tablets. White colour. The tablet looks huge. Wonder if there will be another swap test to make sure infection is cleared. Luckily got this kind of test to make sure baby is not infected if go via natural birth.

Childlike Behaviour... Influence by baby?
- Now most of the household chores are done by hubby. He usually piles up more dishes before he washes them. Cos I need to use a cup which is not washed yet, I decide to wash the dishes. While washing, hubby comes into the kitchen and don't know y, I feel like being caught in the act. Hubby laughs and says I look like sooo guilty when he sees me washing. - 1 June 2010
- Hubby is very tired and needs to take a nap, after coming back from his grandpa's wake. It's 7:30pm and we haven't eaten our dinner. He says he'll snooze for another 15mins. I decide to go to the fridge to get some cranberry juice. Then see the chocolate inside and take two out. Happily open one to start eating and bring the rest of the things into bedroom. When entering, hubby's eyes are open and he is looking at me. Suddenly I feel guilty, like being caught in the act. Like a small kid doing something without permission and being found out but no choice cos caught red-handed liaoz. Hubby laughs - 2 June 2010

Gynae Visit - 29 May 2010 (36th week + 3 days)
7th appt with gynae...
- bb's weight 2.4+kg. Average size is around 2.5 - 2.6kg. So if want a 3.2kg bb, hv 2 eat more. If want to push easily, remain as normal.
- My weight now is 70.5kg. Increase of 300g since 2 weeks ago. Blood pressure and sugar level ok.
- Baby's head is still down. His legs are at my upper abdomen area. So if he kicks, I'll feel pain on my left side. I still have quite alot of fluid and the umbilical cord is now swimming in the water.
- Baby's heart rate is ok.
- Do swap test. Alot of discharge this morning and Dr Wong shows me a long sticky stretch that she easily swap out. Told me when they want to check dilation, doctor and nurse will use two fingers (index and middle) to poke into the vagina. She wants to show me but I tell her think do it when the time comes.
- Feel like being "invaded" for the swap test. Luckily go to a female doctor else might be more tramatised.
- At last can collect the three books on guides to childbirth, breastfeeding and child care at information counter. The books are good cos Singapore context and it's from TMC. At least late than never. Better start reading.... zzz

Coconut Juice
At last hubby found the coconuts at a fruit shop at HG Ave 8, as suggested by some mummies in forum (asked them for help cos dun understand how come cannot find at all). Just now drink the juice and hubby helps me to clear the meat and remaining juice. Quite refreshing but find it not enough. keke... need more to refresh myself. keke...
